Ivory Coast has a rich cultural heritage with more than sixty ethnic groups, the Baoulé, the Bété, Gouro or the Dioula can be cited as examples of ethnic groups found in the country.
They can be divided into four main groups: Akan, Gour, Krou, and Mandé. Geographically, the Akran group can be found in the South-Eastern corner of the country, the Gour mostly in the North-East, the Krou in the South-Center/South-West, and the Mandé in the North-West to North-Center part of the country.
